TWIA UK Wedding Celebrant of the Year
I felt like I'd been transported to an alternate reality. From the wilds of Skye, barefoot in nature, holding intimate elopement ceremonies, to all the glitz & glamour of the #TWIA UK Awards! There were stilt walkers with wings, indoor fireworks, magicians, a red carpet, an illustrator, a casino & the most fabulous array of glittering outfits! It was magical & a LOT! Mostly I just wandered around in awe 😆 photo credits @mattrockprophoto and @colinlaveryphoto As the award

Womancraft Publishing's Newest Author
Today I was announced as Womancraft Publishing's newest author!!! Can you hear my happy squeals? Being a writer has been a long-held dream, probably the longest held, if I'm honest. I've been writing several books for years. This particular book came to me at the time of ordination; literally landed with me half-formed in meditation one day. I knew the sections, some of the chapter titles and I knew I would approach Womancraft to publish. Like many things in my life, it

LAST MINUTE ELOPEMENT
I received an enquiry for a very short notice elopement in April this year. A couple travelling to Scotland from America for their friends’ marriage. They were planning to come to the Isle of Skye to climb the Inaccessible Pinnacle in the Cuillin (being avid climbers) and were wondering if I could hold a ceremony for them whilst they were here. My first step is always to meet with a couple (even before I take a booking) for us to confirm we’re all happy to work together, so

CRAZY DAISIES AND FLOWER CROWNS
I was so glad I accepted Nicola's invitation to visit @meadowsweetcroft yesterday in honour of British Flowers Week. Marvelling at the spikey leaved oaks, Nicola told me how 11 years ago and long before the vision of becoming Skye's first cut flower grower, she'd planted trees for shelter and winter colour in her garden. I've attempted to look up the variety, not remembering if she said European oaks... and not realising there are no less than 450 varieties of oak! Wandering

A QUAKER STYLE WEDDING
I had the absolute joy of driving to Applecross to hold a beautiful Quaker style marriage ceremony. With a bigger guest list than any of my other ceremonies to date (usually wee elopements out in the elements) I was a little nervous, but this rainbow right outside my front door was a sign that all was well... that I was held! Oh and the prayer that was mysteriously on my lounge carpet this morning... a wee cutting someone had taken from the newspaper! The autumn colours on t
